MKM is the largest independent builders' merchant in the UK with an ever expanding branch network and revenue of £213 million. They provided materials for the trade and DIY projects.
As part of a review of current internal communications and branding, they approached Collective Agency PR to help them design and produce a new internal newsletter which would inform colleagues about current news and initiatives. The aim of the newsletter was to give employees throughout the business a voice to share their news and pass on useful hints and business tips. It is also used as a platform to inform colleagues about key business initiatives and financial status.
Collective Agency PR worked with the marketing team and worked with brand guidelines to implement systems and procedures to follow to ensure a smooth newstrawl of information from within the business to populate the newsletter.
The launch of the newsletter ‘Chatter’ was showcased in 2013 and has received positive feedback from everyone within the business. The newsletter can be seen in reception and client and meeting areas is also taken to trade shows and internal sales meetings.
